Our Story

My name is Amanda Schuette

What began as a simple love for dogs fourteen years ago has grown into something much more; a true passion and lifelong calling. At Oodles of Doodles IL, we don't just raise puppies, we raise beloved family companions, right inside our home, with intention, care, and heart behind every step.

Over the years, this has grown into a full family effort. My husband and I, alongside our four children, are deeply involved in every stage of raising our puppies; from their very first days of life to the moment they are placed into their forever homes.

Our puppies are raised in the center of our everyday lives. They are loved, handled, and nurtured by both little hands and grown ones, experiencing the natural rhythm of a busy, joy-filled home. Whether they're being cuddled, dressed up, pushed in strollers, or pulled along in toy tractor wagons, they learn from the very beginning what it truly means to be part of a family.

We believe exceptional puppies don't happen by chance. The puppies are raised with intention. Our focus is on temperament first, followed by early development and thoughtful socialization, creating a strong, confident foundation that allows each puppy to transition seamlessly into their new home.

We intentionally keep our program small and family-centered, planning each litter with purpose. This allows us to give every puppy the individual attention, time, and care they deserve, while never compromising on quality.

Over the years, we have been incredibly blessed with many repeat families and referrals. This is something we consider one of the greatest reflections of the trust our families place in us. That trust means everything, and it's something we work hard to earn with every single litter.

Our Family

While many breeders raise puppies around family life, our puppies are truly raised within it.

The Oodles of Doodles Difference

Not all puppies are raised the same.

At Oodles of Doodles IL, our commitment extends far beyond producing beautiful puppies. We are dedicated to providing every puppy with the strongest possible start through intentional breeding, early development, comprehensive socialization, and unmatched care.

Our puppies are raised in a loving family environment where they receive daily interaction, enrichment, and exposure to real-life experiences that help prepare them for success in their future homes.

From carefully selecting our breeding dogs to supporting families long after adoption day, every step of our program is designed with one goal in mind: raising exceptional companions that become cherished members of their families.

We take pride in building lasting relationships with our puppy families and providing a level of transparency, communication, and support that reflects the values of our program.

Because finding the right puppy should be an experience built on trust, quality, and confidence.

Why Families Choose Oodles of Doodles IL

Not all breeders raise puppies the same way.

While many breeders focus on producing puppies, our focus is on producing exceptional family companions. Every decision we make—from selecting our parent dogs to designing our puppy development program—is centered around one goal: giving each puppy the strongest possible foundation for a lifetime of success.

Our puppies are not raised in a kennel. They are raised in our home, in the heart of our family, surrounded by the sights, sounds, experiences, and interactions that help prepare them for real life.

For the first eight weeks, our puppies are handled daily, socialized intentionally, and exposed to age-appropriate experiences that help build confidence, resilience, and adaptability. They are loved by our family, spoiled by our children, and introduced to the everyday activities that become second nature in family homes.

What sets our program apart:

• Raised inside our home from birth
• Extensive early neurological stimulation and enrichment
• Daily socialization with children of all ages
• Early crate and potty training foundations
• Exposure to household sounds, surfaces, and routines
• Outdoor exploration and confidence-building activities
• Public socialization experiences before going home
• Health-tested parent dogs selected for temperament and structure
• Veterinary care beginning in the first days of life
• Lifetime breeder support for our puppy families

By the time our puppies leave for their forever homes, they have already experienced more socialization, enrichment, and hands-on interaction than many puppies receive in their entire first year.

We believe the difference shows not only when our puppies leave, but for years afterward as they become beloved companions in homes across the country.

How We Raise Our Puppies

We believe the first weeks of a puppy’s life are incredibly important in shaping their confidence, temperament, and ability to adapt to new environments. For this reason, we follow an intentional puppy raising program designed to give each puppy the very best start possible. From the moment they are born, our puppies are raised inside our home where they are surrounded by love, daily interaction, and normal household activities.

Early Development

Beginning shortly after birth, we introduce Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) along with gentle daily handling. These early experiences help support healthy neurological development and can contribute to improved resilience and adaptability later in life.

Daily Socialization

Our puppies are handled and loved on daily by members of our household and are socialized with people of all ages, from young children to older adults. The puppies grow up in a busy family environment, they naturally become accustomed to everyday household sounds such as:

• Music and conversation
• Children playing
• Household appliances like washers, dryers, and vacuums
• Normal daily family activity

Enrichment and Exploration

As the puppies grow, they are introduced to new experiences that help build curiosity and confidence. They explore different textures, toys, and play environments, helping them develop important skills and adaptability.

When weather permits, puppies are also introduced to outdoor spaces where they experience surfaces like grass, rocks, and concrete.

Early Training Foundations

Around five weeks of age, we begin introducing:

• Crate exposure
• Early potty training foundations
• Gentle independence from littermates
